Well it's been a week since Anime Expo 2011 ended, so I'm a little late on this journal entry. I've just been a lazy bum.

Anime Expo, overall, was a really fun and exciting con! There was some problems around the 2nd-3rd day( not really what I consider dramu) but it was all cleared up in the end. The Mikunopolis concert was amazing, I had fun performing in the masquerade with my friend as Kagamine Len, and I got to meet and hang out with special friends of mine.

Even though it was only a brief moment at the dance, but I finally got to meet DreamsComeTroo. What was so surprising is that she came up to me calling out "Black*Star" and gave me a big hug. She was rave Naruto and I was rave Black*Star (go figure xD) I only got to chat with her very briefly because I got dragged away by my friends (again), and I didn't get to hang out with her Day 4 like I anticipated, but it was still exciting to finally meet her after all this time of trying to get in touch with each other. It's on the iffy side, but I definitely will take my time to hang out at Yaoi-con if I go.

My cosplay schedule was a little turned around, Simon not being worn because I arrived late at night on Day 0. Day 1,3, and 4 went as planned, but Day 2 I wasn't able to wear Len because of a few difficulties. Day 1 I wore Taiki to the Digimon gathering then cosplayed Scott Pilgrim(thanks to my friend Justin for letting me borrow his shirt) with my friend artsoarsfree, which was lots of fun. I was complemented many times about my new Black*Star wig that I finally wore(pics will be up soon), but I of course gave all the credit to my friend Leekaara for making and styling it into such a beauty. Zidane was debuted, sadly without the right boots, but it was fun nonetheless(loves my tail x3)

I wanna give thanks to Maru-sha for being such an amazing friend and letting me and my boyfriend stay in her room, and I love the SoulxBlack*Star badge so much <3 I stopped by their booth a couple times at the artist alley, you guys did amazing work and I'm glad you made enough profit as you did!

I also give thanks to all the wonderful friends of mine who really made the con the most special; lots of memories will be treasured. And last but not least, Danny, my boyfriend, for being there for me at the con, paying for certain things I couldn't afford, and just being such a sweet and kind person as he is. I love you so much, my Soul-kun

Well, that about wraps it up! My next big cosplay event I think is Nisei Week parade and festival I attend every year, followed by a few gatherings here and there, and some before. Wish I was going to Comic-Con, but hey, at least AX and Fanime both make up for it x100.
